Cleaner Shrimp

Lysmata amboinensis

This shrimp will groom parasites and debris from fishes and occasionally human hands in the tank. Do not add excess iodine as it may cause premature molting and lower life expectancy.

This shrimp is an efficient scavenger and will eat most aquarium foods.

Size: to about 2 inches
Area of Collection: Indo-Pacific
Reef Suitability: Good. This shrimp is an opportunist and may steal food from anemones and corals causing them to decline.
