Tongue Coral Herpolitha limax
The natural form of these corals resembles an extended human tongue. Some are branching or bifurcated which is how they reproduce. They are typically from slightly deeper water and require moderate lighting. They have the same requirements and characteristics as other fungiids and prefer a sandy bottom and gentle currents.
Have zoxanthellae and do not need to be fed.
