Blue Head Wrasse - Brazil Thalassoma bifasciatum
The Bluehead Wrasse is a beautiful, multicolored wrasse. Juveniles are generally yellow with black markings along their sides and sometimes on their fins. As an adult, males have a vibrant blue-green body for the back half with stripes alternating black, white, black to a blue head. Females are completely turquoise except for the two black stripes. Provide plenty of rocks and caves for hiding and is suitable for the semi-aggressive tank as it will become territorial and harass any new additions to the community. Therefore, this should be the last fish added to the aquarium. It may eat mantis shrimp and bristleworms.
Feed meaty items including mysis shrimp, vitamin enriched brine shrimp and frozen preparations.
