Now, finally, there is a fan built for harsh environments that will not rust out, runs super quiet and regulates its speed based on your changing needs.
Each IceCap Fan includes a 12-volt transformer and power cord with a quick-disconnect for times you might need to move your hood without the normal hassle. All IceCap Fans are shipped with the standard finger guard. The 18-inch probe connected to the fan is what makes this IceCap Fan responsive to changes in the temperature in your hood. At normal low temperatures, around 75 degrees F, the Fan idles silently while circulating 50-60 cubic feet per minute (cfm). At a moderate temperature of 95 degrees F the Fan circulates 75-85 cfm. When your hood is going at full tilt and the temperature is at 113 degrees F or higher, the Fan produces 90-102 cfm, depending on whether the finger guards are used. More power when you need it. Locate the probe above the water line near your lamps. You can use the Fan to blow into the tank or draw hot air out. The closer the probe is to cooler incoming air, the faster it will slow down when operating. If you choose to use a filter attachment, it is advised to use it for blowing air into the tank to get any filtration benefits.
The Fan and transformer have a two-year manufacturer warranty. The Fan is manufactured to IceCap`s specifications and should last at least 50,000 hours.
