Note:The Carbonate Hardness or Alkalinity of a reef tank should be between 2.8meq/8dKH - 4.2meq/12dKH. check these levels frequently !
*Helps Reduce Nitrates It is the creators of Tailored Aquatics opinion that small amount of an organic carbon source added daily to a reef tank along with a well maintained protein skimmer will reduce Nitrates over long term. This product is designed to be used with Tailored Aquatic Reef Calcium to add small amounts of carbon daily just by maintaining Calcium and dKH . Some cloudiness may occur a few hours after use. This will dissipate quickly and is a natural part in the reduction of Nitrate
Directions Shake well before using To Raise carbonate Hardness (KH) and buffering capacity : Add one capful (5ml) per thirty gallons daily to reach an alkalinity of 2.9 to 4.2 meq/l or 8 -12 dKH. To maintain KH: Add one capful per 50 gallons every second day (alternating with Tailored Aquatic Reef Calcium). Note: test KH Frequently!, More or less Reef dKH PLUS may be needed to maintain a KH of 2.9 meq/l or 8 -12 dKH depending on biological load in tank.
