Japanese Dragon Moray Enchelycore pardalis
A great display animal for the larger aquarium with its coloful appearance. It is a fish eater and will ingest anything it can fit into its expandable jaws. Must be provided with suitable shelter sites to facilitate acclimation. With time, it will spend more of the daylight hours with at least its head protruding. Some will even begin to lie out in full view. Keep singly except in mated pairs. Prone to escaping from open tanks. Will eat ornamental crustaceans and fish tankmates. May topple loose corals or rockwork.
Feed meaty foods including fresh and frozen fish and crustacean flesh. Sometimes difficult to feed and live feeder fish may be necessary to initate feeding.
