Long Tentacled Plate - Premium Heliofungia spp.
A good aquarium coral that when fullly inflated, resemples an anemone. They live orn sand or coral gravel and require the same substrate in an aquarium. Not as mobile or aggressive as Fungia and they often do not recover from being stung. Does best in moderate currents. Disc can be gray, green or beown with radial stripes extending out from the mouth. Tentacles are usually green or brown and have white, yellow or pink tips. Requires bright lighting.
Has zooxanthellae but can be fed. Large pieces of ftish can be placed on the tentacles and will be rapidly eaten.
