Oceallate Coralfish Parachaetodon oceallatus
Best kept singly or in pairs or small groups, this butterfly is an active species that requires plenty of swimming room. It should not be housed with aggressive tankmates, and although it does not naturally feed on stony or soft corals, it is a potential threat to sessile invertebrates and small shrimps.
Will accept live foods such as live brine shrimp, mysid shrimp and black worms and once it begins feeding it can be switched to an alternative diet, including chopped fresh seafood, frozen brine shrimp and frozen preparations.
