UltraSil 1000ml

UltraSil is an iron-based adsorber for the efficient and safe removal of silicates and phosphates from the aquarium. UltraSil binds silicates and phosphates, thereby reducing growth of unwanted algae. UltraSil has very high capacity and should be used only in small amounts. Please check the phosphate concentration of the water before using UltraSil. It is NOT advisable to use UltraSil in tanks that already have very low or undetectable phosphate levels. One liter of UltraSil binds up to 20,000 mg of silicate and up to 200g of phosphate. Please read the instruction manual carefully. UltraSil works slowly and continuously and can be used permanently. Please check the phosphate/silicate concentration regularly with reliable test kits. UltraSil was specifically formulated for permanent use, as it binds phosphate only slowly. Large phosphate depots (ie. in live rock) will be released slowly, and therefore a noticeable decrease in phosphate concentration may only happen after some time. UltraSil prevents large fluctuations in the tank, thereby helping to stabilize conditions.
