Red Head Dottyback Pseudochromis elongatus
A smaller species, the Red Head Elegant Pseudochromis is not as aggressive as some of its relatives. This rare species was only recently collected for the trade. This is an excellent aquarium fish, and like all Pseudochromis (aka Dottybacks) it's very hardy. This is usually a shy, cautious fish hen first introduced into the aquarium. Keep this fish with peaceful tankmates, as it can be intimidated by overzealous feeders.
Feed a variety of foods including mysis shrimp, vitamin enriched brine shrimp and frozen preparations for herbivores.
