Bicinctus Clownfish Amphiprion bicinctus
The Bicinctus Clownfish, a.k.a. Two Banded or Red Sea Clown, is a beautiful Clown that is yellow-orange in color with a white vertical band behind its head and at mid-body. It is very similar in appearance to the Clarkii Clown, but the Bicinctus lack the white vertical band at the base of their tail. This fish is the most prevalent Clownfish in the Red Sea. The Bicinctus Clown does not need an Anemone to survive, but will accept Bubble Tip, Sebae, Long Tentacle and Carpet Anemones as its host, as well as corals.
Feed a variety of foods including meaty items such as frozen mysis or vitamin enriched brine shrimp. Also offer foods including spirulina.
