Asfur Angelfish Pomacanthus asfur
A red sea beauty that is no longer rare and expensive, this is one of the shyest members of the genus. It may take several days to a week before it begins feeding, especially if housed in a tank without adequate hiding spots. Although not usually aggressive, some individuals may pester newly added tankmates or more passive fishes. Keep only one per tank.
Feed a varied diet including ample vegetable matter and meaty fare. May require live foods, such as brine shrimp, mysid shrimp or fresh, finely chopped seafoods.
