Red Cheek Anthias Pseudanthias huchtii
A gorgeous addition to the larger reef aquarium. Males have a prominent orange stripe from the eye to the middle of the pectoral fin. They also have a wide maroon band on the outer margin of the pelvic fin. Females and juveniles are greenish-yellow. Males are best kept alone with a harem of females in a tank of 120 gallons or better. Provide plenty of hiding spaces as these fish can be easily spooked and may need them during the acclimation period.
Feed meaty foods such as mysis shrimp and brine shrimp as well as frozen preparations. Feed at least 3 times daily.
