Clavularia Rare/Premium Clavularia spp.
These are generally very hardy corals that perfer moderate to bright light and moderate to strong current for rapid growth and encrustation of substrate. This species is susceptible to detritus collection and proliferation of filamentous algae amongst the polyps. Good water flow and regular "blasting" with a turkey baster or syringe will help to prevent this problem. This coral may be sensitive to the aluminum oxide in some phosphate-removing sponges.
