Fivelined Cardinal Cheilodipterus quinquelineatus
A durable cardinalfish but one with a greater likelihood to eat smaller fishes than many other members of the family. Will spend most of its time in exposed areas, but rarely moves far from a shelter site, except when presented with food. Keep only one per tank. It is best housed with less-aggressive fishes that roughly match it in length; it should be introduced after more-passive species. Will eat small snails, crabs, shrimps and small fishes
Prefers live foods, such as baby guppies and live grass shrimp but will usually learn to accept frozen brine shrimp, chopped seafoods and frozen preparations for carnivores.
