Flame Hawkfish Neocirrhites armatus
One of the most popular of hawkfish among aquarists. The movements of this species within a head of a stony coral may facilitate water circulation within the colony . Sometimes it will behave aggressively toward other bottom-dwelling fishes, and it can be a chronic problem in a smaller aquarium. Will remove hermits, limpets and turbo snails from their shells and eat them.
Feed meaty foods, including marine fishes, crustacean flesh, mysid shrimp and frozen preparations.
