Pearly Jawfish Opistognathus aurifrons
This is a comical and fascinating species for the home aquarium. It must have at least 3.1 inches of mixed substrate, including sand of varying grades and small pieces of shell and reef rubble so that it can construct a burrow. Keep with docile tankmates. A notorious jumper.
Feed meaty foods, including chopped marine fish and crustacean flesh, mysid shrimp or frozen preparations for carnivores.
