Threadfin Bannerfish Heniochus acuminatus
Not to be confused with the schooling bannerfish, this species can be destructive in a reef tank eating many types of corals. This species has a longer more rounded body shape than H. diphreutes and the tip of its anal fin is white while H. diphreutes has a black anal fin. This species should also be provided with plenty of swimming room.
Feed a varied diet including meaty foods such as crustacean flesh, mysid shrimp and frozen preparations for herbivores.
