Threadfin Butterflyfish Chaetodon auriga
A bold attractive species and one of the best butterflyfishes for the home aquarium. Will accept almost any food offered once it has acclimated, although it should be fed a varied diet for good health and coloration. One of the more aggressive members ot the family, often chasing conspecifics and those species with similar color patterns. To keep more than one, add them to a larger tank simultaneously. Does very well with live rock aquascaping, but is not safe with corals.
Feed a varied diet including marine fish, crustacean flesh, mysid shrimp and frozen preparations.
