Most additives are the same but watch for "non food-grade" additives.  Purity of product is much more important than the specific name brand.  Always test your aquarium water before adding anything to it, don't add anything "blindly" to your tank without knowing what kind of levels you are dealing with to start.  The most commonly used additives include: calcium, alkalinity booster, magnesium and trace element supplements.
