Live feeds are a great way to keep finicky or specialized feeders eating and provide your tank with smaller feed for filter feeders which don't normally benefit from the foods fed to larger animals in the tank.  Copepods, rotifers and phytoplankton all come in a range of sizes to help those specialized feeders flourish.  A great way to keep up the biodiversity in your tank.
